A hybrid multi-criteria decision-making approach to order natural gas consuming countries

Societies worldwide are committed to moving towards a low carbon economy, and natural gas is considered transition fuel between fossil (such as gasoline diesel) renewable fuels. Based on the relevance of in this economic transition, paper demonstrates application hybrid multi-criteria decision-making approach order consuming countries. The aim support market, offering elements prioritize trade worldwide. study observed three criteria: consumption variation for years 2014 2016; volume production same period; proven reserves 2016. data demonstrate countries’ performance was obtained from yearly statistic publication Brazilian National Agency Petroleum, Natural Gas, Biofuels (ANP), released 2017. Finally, methods adopted assess criteria were, first, WINGS method, applied generate weights each criterion. Second, TOPSIS method pre-select countries closest becoming global consumer gas.
